VP of Operations

BJ Johnson

BJ Johnson is the VP of operations for JBJ-Management and he is tasked with being an organizational leader using his experience and education over the last 13 years along-side CEO Willis Johnson to make decisions to ensure that JBJ is profitable and a sustainable company. BJ studied Business and Youth & Community Studies while also being a national standout in football at The University of Texas at Austin where he enjoyed much success. After a short stint in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, BJ returned home where he joined his father Willis Johnson to help build their consulting firm JBJ Management. Over his tenure with JBJ, BJ has had the opportunity to work with local city, county, and quasi-governmental agencies passing city and school bond programs as well as coordinating and directing initiatives with mayoral campaigns. Being selected for the inaugural Mayoral Star council in Dallas BJ played a vital role in making sure that their goals would help lead and spur economic development in Southern Dallas. 


BJ has worked with a number of charitable organizations like Boy Scouts of America, Boys & Girls club, and Merging Vets & Players by giving back to his community with those kinds of organizations. Johnson has been a major factor in spearheading a local minority owned spirit company in 2014 with a former teammate of his and becoming the first and only African American owned beverage company in the MGM Resorts International Beverage program in the Country. With sharp entrepreneurial Johnson has honed in a number of skills from his overall experience in a number of sectors over the last 13 years and has also successfully settled into the ready mix concrete business with his company J&L Imperium Industries where he has taken on projects that enables him to give back to those communities that allow him operate and flourish as a business owner who hires local talent to be a part of his journey in growing businesses and changing communities at the same time.
